How to Win Back Your Ex

Jul 30, 2008
When your ex has left you, you might rant and rave or simply shut down, but when all is said and done, you might find that you are currently unwilling to move forward -- at least not without your ex!

People break up all the time, but the truth of the matter is that many of these breakups, no matter what happened can be repaired. It might take some time and it will definitely take some effort, but you will find that you can almost always salvage a relationship just by keeping a few simple things in mind.

Before we get into those, I do want to say that there is a very, very simple method for winning back an ex -- and it doesn't require you to lose your dignity or look like a fool.

What you're going to want to do is go down to the bottom of this story and check out the resources I tell you about there. These are the best sources I've found on how to get an ex back. Please check them out and put them to use today.

Okay, here are a few quick tips...

1. Don't beg

No one is going to get back together with you out of pity. If you can't convince your ex to come back based on good reasoning and a solid relationship, you are better off out of it.

Begging only makes your ex annoyed and makes you look bad, so don't bother. Remember that there are some things that are simply not worth doing, and that you can let some things go gracefully, no matter how much it hurts.

2. Never bully

Don't make demands, either. This is the complete but still toxic response to breaking up with someone. Make sure that no matter what you are trying to do in a relationship, hostility is not something that needs to be there.

You'll find that there is a great deal of good information out there about what you can do instead, but you'll find bullying someone, no matter how you are doing it, is never acceptable.

3. Thank them.

When you have an ex that you are still in love with, be honest about what a good impact that they have made in your life.

You'll find that when done correctly, this can show them that you appreciated them in the past and that you will appreciate them in the future.

You'll find that this is a great way to open up the lines of communication again; you are complimenting them, you are not being pushy and they are curious.

4. Be gracious

Remember that it is not necessary to take you back. Take the time to remind yourself that getting them back should be a gift.

You'll find that blowing up will close the doors permanently, but if you don't, there might be some place down the road where you will be able to get back together at a later date.

Treat them well, and you'll find that there are plenty of chances to get back together as a couple.
