Grapefruit juice diets are always a little difficult to do when you start off with it but the pleasure of loosing 52 pounds in just two and a half month surely makes it worth the effort. This is one of the greatest benefits of Grapefruit juice diet.

The breakfast menu of the grapefruit juice diet consists of 8 oz of unsweetened grapefruit juice, two eggs and two slices of bacon. 8 oz of water intake is also a necessity. One doesn't need to starve oneself although one is on a diet. In fact you need to have a filling meal. It is important that you eat a combination of bacon and salad so that you body will burn the fats. Failure to do so will only have the diet ineffectual.

One should refrain from eating desserts, bread and white vegetables or sweet potato while doing the grapefruit juice diet. But you can have double or triple servings of meat, salad or vegetables if you are hungry.

Lunch time on the grapefruit juice diet consists of 8 ounces of grapefruit juice (unsweetened), salad, and vegetables cooked in butter if you wish. You can eat all the meat your heart desires.

What is listed in the grapefruit juice diet is the minimum amount that you must consume thus there is no restriction on the quantity that you can consume. It is also crucial that you consume whatever is listed in the diet plan.

It is important to follow the grapefruit juice diet in the right manner since it acts as a catalyst that starts the burning process, hence it is advisable not to add or reduce the amount of juice to be consumed. It is better to cut down on coffee intake since it affects the insulin balance and hinder the burning process and have only 1 cup at meal time.

Dinner time require you to take 8 oz of unsweetened grapefruits juice, salad with dressing or with vegetables cooked with generous portion of butter or spices. Meat or fish can be taken in any way but you can only have single cup of tea or coffee. Also refrain from snacks between meals. Anyway if you adhere to the grapefruit juice diet properly, you won't even feel hungry at all.

At bedtime drink 8oz of skimmed milk or tomato juice. The theory behind the grapefruit juice diet is that the more you eat, the more you will lose; doesn't sound right, but that is what they say. It is recommended that after you use the grapefruit juice diet for 12 days, you should stop for two day and then resume the diet again.
