Fixing Scratches With Paint Sticks

For car enthusiast and non car enthusiasts alike, it is very frustrating to go outside, view your car and discover that there is a scratch on it. Many people don't have the funds to go out and get a brand-new paint job. Luckily, there are products on the market that can help individuals fix their car without resorting to getting it totally repainted.

One such way includes using a product called Paint Scratch or one that is similar to it. It allows you to touch up your car or truck where it has been scratched. You can use the original factory paint, if it is still available. Paint Scratch and like products, come in various forms. One form is a pen. You can simply write over the spot that has been scratched. There are also spray cans for bigger areas, as well as touch up bottles. You can buy up to one gallon of the stuff. It is fairly inexpensive and much less expensive than getting a new paint job. Individuals will find prices starting at just under $15. Paint in a can will cost you a little under $25. What is so great about these types of products is that you can get them mixed so that it perfectly matches your car. Therefore, if have a customized paint job, you can have that paint color reproduced so that it matches perfectly with your car.

A lot of products like this and including this one can be purchased online. For individuals that are unsure of the process but are interested in fixing scratches, it is very simple. The first thing that an individual needs to do it is to select the year of their car, as well as the model and the make. After that, they'll be given a list of colors. If one see their color, than they simply need to choose it. If they do not, than you will need to fill out a special form. If there are several colors that look close to the color of your car or if you're simply not sure what color your car is, you may want to check your car or truck's color code. Once you have that you can plug that into the order form and the correct color will pop up.

If you have no idea where to find your color code, its' location will differ based on the make of your vehicle. For example, on Acura's and Hondas, the color plate is usually near the driver's door jam. If you have a BMW, it's typically underneath the hood, close to strut towers. If you have Ford, it should be on the driver's door jamb, and it should say exterior thing color, which makes it very easy to find. In Hyundai's, color codes are also typically found on the driver's door jamb. This holds true for the Nissan as well. For Mazda's, if you have any newer model, it's probably in the drivers door jam as well. But if you have an older model, it may be underneath the trunk or the hood.

Purchasing and using touch up paint is a great way to take care of unsightly scratches. It's a great alternative to paying for one's car to be totally repainted. Today, even individuals with custom painted cars will be able to have a certain color of paint created so that they can repair any scratches. It is very affordable and starts as low as a $15, and it can be purchased in quantities of up to one gallon.
