The Top Reasons Why You Need to Stop Snoring

Aug 1, 2008
Few people that snore know that they snore, because obviously they are asleep as they do it. So it isn't personal experience that tells them instead it is someone who has witnessed and had there sleep disturbed because of it. Although the annoyance of snoring is one of the top reasons to stop snoring it isn't the only one.

For instance, did you know that when you snore you actual sweat more in your sleep? Your body is put through such strain as you snore that it actually causes your body to sweat. Sweating doesn't add to the comfort of your sleep. Snoring also adds to unwanted side effects, although not every side effect mentioned happens to every person they are common. Some of them are irritability, mood swings, depression, and hypertension. None of these are desirable and are more common to occur to someone who snores.

Anyone who has experienced it will testify to how embarrassing it is to have someone approach you and tell you how loud you snore. It is completely reasonable to assume that your snoring kept them awake at night, tossing and turning trying to find a position to block out the noise. It isn't comforting to know that someone you love lost important sleep because of your snoring.

Imagine how much happier your spouse will be if they are able to get the uninterrupted 7-9 hours of sleep that they need every night. It is hard to stay optimistic and cheery if you are struggling to get the sleep you need. If there was a way to avoid that pain I would think you would jump on it. Sleep is important and you are already asleep by the time you start snoring so sometimes it is hard to realize the real effect it is having.

On the other hand when snoring becomes severe it can often wake the person snoring up. You will more then likely drift back asleep but again you will begin to snore and again wake yourself up. All night you are drifting in and out of the deep sleep you need. When you wake up in the morning you will find that you are almost more exhausted then you felt when you went to bed the night before.

Snoring can be a sign to other problems as well, snoring is often caused by being overweight which is a precursor to many other problems. Also smoking can cause snoring as well. Be aware of the signs your body is trying to tell you, it may be telling you that you need to take better care of it.
