The Sarcasm of Cigarettes, Smokers and Second Hand Smoke

Aug 4, 2008
Do you have any smoking family members? Do you know of any friends that are smokers? Do you come in contact with smokers on a daily basis? If your answers to any of the three questions, you SHOULD read this article.

DISGUSTING CIGARETTE INGREDIENTS:

Ammonia: Perspired through our sweat glands, thus making smoking the same as constantly inhaling the smell of sweat.

Tar: The black oily material used to build tarmac roads. Smoking is no different than to pour tar into one's lung.

Carbon Monoxide: Emission substance from conventional gasoline driven vehicles. Which means smokers might as well put their mouth to the vehicle exhaust pipe and inhale deep.

Cadmium: A compound used in batteries. Waiter: 'Battery for breakfast anyone? Smoker: 'Yes please.'

Acrolein: Once used as a chemical weapon during World War 1. Smokers can be said to be casualties of chemical weapons.

Arsenic: Insecticides used on fruit trees to prevent insects from damaging the plants. Smokers should just get themselves a bottle of insecticides and spray it into their nostrils.

Hydrogen Cyanide: Also found in vehicle emissions. While it is also a defense mechanism of millipedes and burnet moths released to scare away enemies or threats, smokers simply inhale them.

Formaldehyde: Used as a disinfectant. No further comment.

I have no intention of humiliating any smokers. Just thought they should know, or for those who already know be reminded of these facts and what they are actually doing by inhaling each puff of their cigarette.

On top of the lovely cuisines and gourmets mentioned above, not only do smokers themselves indulge, instead, they also offer and treat family members, friends and other people that come in contact with, secondary servings of those delicacies (second-hand smoke).

FOR THE RESPONSIBLE FOLLOWING INDIVIDUALS:

As a host, ban guests from smoking in and around your housing vicinity as smoke flows and contaminates any areas it bypasses. Toxins from smokes will remain in the surrounding atmosphere for longer periods than other gas substances.

As an employer, implement non-smoking policies within your workplace. It is your responsibility to take care of your employees who are non-smokers. Encourage smoking employees to quit.

As an individual, do not start and quit if you are a smoker. Don't try, just quit. I guarantee you the benefits of quitting. If you are the type of person that frequently asks 'why', the answers are listed below.

'What are my benefits if I stop smoking immediately?'

- Within the next 24 hours, your risk of heart attack decreases

- Within the next 3 months, blood circulation will improve and your lungs - respiratory systems - improve up to 30%.

- Within the next 9 months, your fatigue resistance level increases (decreasing the occurrences of shortness of breath).

- 1 year after quitting, your risks of sustaining coronary heart diseases are half of your smoking counterparts.

- Your risks of lung cancer, stroke and other chronic heart diseases decrease.

- Most important of all, you stop the attempts of murdering the people around you in your everyday life.
