Gamble on Advertising With Poker Sets

Aug 7, 2008
The popularity of television shows such as ""Celebrity Poker Showdown"" and ""World Poker Tournament"", along with a bevy of other poker themed shows tells us all one thing - people like gambling. Even those who would never step foot into a casino enjoy both the voyeuristic pleasure of watching as well as the simple excitement of playing, even when there isn't money to be made by anyone. All sorts of games are regaining a level of popularity they lost years ago, but none more than poker. People from pre-teens out to impress their friends all the way up to corporate execs hungry for a night of relaxation crave the same thing - a poker set for a fun evening.

While spending part of your company's marketing budget on something as seemingly frivolous as printed poker sets might initially sound like a bad idea, it would be wise to take a closer look at some alternatives. Sticking with the fact that a large number of people watch poker-themed television shows, one option would be a television spot. However, digital video recorders make it all too easy for viewers to skip through commercials. Another method of cashing in on the lure of gambling would be to pay for advertising at casinos, but generally speaking, those would receive a rather limited viewership. Perhaps corporate poker sets are not such a bad idea after all.

Branded poker sets, printed with your company's name and logo make ideal corporate gifts. These beautiful personalized poker sets are available in a range of options from travel sets to elaborate collections that include such items as a poker table-topper. However, it must be kept in mind that even the low end sets tend to be very nicely made. And, as always, the higher end items have a much bigger price tag attached to them.

Of course, there is the question of what to use such an item for. Because of the fairly costly nature of printed poker sets, they are usually ill-suited as items for handing out to every client. Corporate poker sets, however, are perfect for things such as gifts to visiting CEO's or as rewards to employees who go above and beyond the call of duty. In addition, as many charities are doing things like silent raffles and auctions, branded poker sets are just the thing to give as a donation to the cause. Not only will your company be helping a worthwhile organization, you will get free advertising as part of the package.

Clearly there is more to personalized poker sets than meets the eye. Rather than being a waste of your marketing budget, they can be an advertisement that receives regular use in the homes of some of your most important clients. In addition, because poker is a social game, every time the set is used, it will be seen by a variety of people - all of whom could be prospective clients as well. With all that we know about the popularity of poker, isn't it about time you made the wise bet and used branded poker sets to advertise your business?
