Now that you are finished dealing with those annoying acne, you may thought that this might be the start of your good days. But, you do not know that you are just entering another stage of your uneasy days. Do you know that acne leaves scars in a skin area after they are gone? Just like all wounds, acne leaves foot prints in your skin that is quite hard to deal with. Though they may not be as visible as the acne itself, a closer look will surely reveal your miserable past. After getting rid of your acne, you should be on your way now on scouting for the acne scar removal that is best for your case.

Yes, that is right. Some methods may be effective for your friend or other people, but that does not mean that it will also work for everybody. Like what they say, different stroke for different folks. Do not make the mistake of applying a method that you believe will be effective for you just because other people told you that it was effective for them. Your skin condition needs a specific solution. The difference may be brought about by various factors like skin type and level of damage of the scar. Some scar may not be too deep. Some methods make the scars lighten or completely removed it really depends on the situation and some factors. Before I give some important background about the different acne scar removal available, I strongly suggest that you consult a dermatologist (not a beautician) first. They have the skills and expertise to guide you on what to do regarding your venture to erase the scars on your skin. They inform you regarding the severity and type of your scar.

Dermabrasion is one of the most popular procedures for acne removal. It is mostly applied on mild acne scars. This is not appropriate for deep scars. The main reason would be is because dermabrasion removes the layers of the skin. So imagine if you have deep scars, it is not beneficial for your skin to be peeled deeply. After the procedure the results would be a healthier and younger looking skin.

The next effective procedure to remove or reduce your acne would be the chemical peel. It is also like the dermabrasion which peels of the top layer of the skin. The only difference would be is the way they peel the skin. In this procedure chemical is used to remove skin's top layer. Do not worry for these chemicals are dermatologically tested to be skin friendly. After chemical peeling your skin will look smoother.

This is also preferred scars that are not deep. Now, for deep scars, it is best to try punch grafts. In this method, the scarred or damage skin is replaced. Whatever you do don't give up on acne scar removal, since you now know that it is indeed possible to accomplish.
