As major players continue to outdo a previous claim, the industry continuously improves its offerings, and the passengers get all the royal benefits.

Well-deserved luxury in cruising

We've mentioned who goes on cruises, and we know they can really afford to throw in thousands of dollars just to get out of their busy, tiring, and sometimes paparazzi-infested lives. Holidays onboard a cruise ship, really come with a hefty price tag and not everyone's pocket is big and deep enough.

Cruising is an expedition that millions of people get to enjoy each year. The cruise ships have a regular or definite route that showcases the most popular tourist destinations. People get to admire and frolic on the beauty and mystery of the oceans while inside a vessel that mostly is a five-star hotel in itself.

Families, groups of friends, business partners can get together and enjoy the wonderful amenities that the ships offer. Birthday or anniversary celebrations, special business conferences, romantic honeymoons are very good occasions for cruising. Everyone will surely remember the experience forever.

Diverse choices

As technology becomes more and more sophisticated and engineering becomes more and more avant garde, the cruise ships too, become more and more improved. The battle ground for claiming the "-est" title usually opens every time something better and bigger emerges - and this happens every now and then.

Cruise ship companies always aim to outdo and outperform its contemporaries. The titleholder for one specific category this year may well be dethroned next year by another ship that's heavier, bigger and more advanced in terms of amenities and architecture.

The options for the excited passengers then, become diverse and they get so many choices laid out in front of them when they visit their travel agencies.

As of writing, the leading cruise ships can accommodate a headcount from 2,000 to more than 4,000 and could be as heavy as 200 thousand plus tons. New ships are in the building process too, and are slated to cover a whopping 6,000 people in addition to an estimated 1,500 crew members.

Cruises usually take one whole week to cover its entire route, which lists the Caribbean, Bahamas, and Mexico in their itineraries.
