Goji Juice vs. Dried Goji Berries: How to Make the Choice

Aug 9, 2008
If you like enjoying optimal health, then you might consider adding Goji berries as part of your diet. It has been shown that Goji berries provide benefits for everything from better circulation to improved liver functioning to a boost in the immune system. Your only dilemma then, is deciding which form of Goji berries will best benefit you. Either way, you can be sure that you will enjoy the benefits of improved nutrition and health.

The most common ways to consume Goji berries is either in the dried berry form or as juice. Though some may find themselves pondering how to add this delicious berry to their diets, it is really a matter of personal choice. Since both forms of the Goji berries provide excellent health benefits, you will not go wrong no matter which you decide upon.

If you decide on dried Goji berries, you will enjoy the portability factor. Whenever you are hungry or need a snack, having a supply of dried Goji berries on hand is very convenient. But do not limit yourself to just eating the berries plain. Mix them into your yogurt or create your own special trail mix to add some variety to your snack. Then, just toss them in a backpack, your purse, or briefcase and you are ready to go. Whether you are in the car, on a bus, or even the subway, you can enjoy a snack at any time. Plus, consuming Goji berries in this particular form ensures that you will not ingest any preservatives or additives that may be present in some brands of Goji juice.

If you decide that you prefer Goji berries in the juice form, then there are also some benefits and advantages to this choice. Since Goji berries tend to be a little bitter in the dried state, some people find it beneficial to drink Goji juice instead. Though Goji juice may not be quite as portable as Goji berries, you can have fun mixing up your own juice cocktails. In this way, you will get the benefit of Goji berries as well as other fruit. A refreshing glass of Goji juice is also a great way to relax after work or enjoy a warm summer afternoon.

Goji berries will benefit you whether you decide to consume them as dried berries or juice. You may even decide to switch back and forth between the two forms so that you do not get bored with one or the other. Either way, you are sure to appreciate the boost in your health.
