Best Tips for Finding a Wii

Aug 11, 2008
Although the Nintendo Wii was released some time ago, people are still having difficulty actually getting ahold of one. The Nintendo Wii is in such short supply that people are still asking when does the Nintendo Wii come out, even though it has already been released. The blame lies with Nintendo; they have not produced enough consoles and so consumers are finding them in short supply.

As a result, we'll supply a couple of hints for tracking down a Wii. It will definitely take some effort and hard work from you, but in the end, when you're holding a fabulous Wii in your hands, you won't even remember all the time it took to find it.

Ads - No matter how popular the Wii is, you can be sure that local retailers are still getting regular shipments. They may, however, run out before you can get there! When you spot an ad for a Wii, try calling the store to find out when they expect to get the shipment, and try to be there as early that morning as you can.

Be Prepared To Wait " There are a lot of people who want Wii's and not enough of them to go around, so you will probably have to wait. On the days that the Wii's are delivered to the stores, there is usually a group of people lined up to get one. Because of this, you should try to arrive at the store early, and be prepared to wait in line. This is especially true around the holidays, so if you are planning to purchase a Wii for Christmas, it would be a good idea to buy one ahead of time.

Use The Internet " The internet is a great source for buying all kinds of things. How much easier this is than looking up phone books or printed classifieds! However, you have to be careful before shelling out your money. EBay is not the only auction site on which to grab a Nintendo Wii (or anything else, for that matter). You just have to review whichever the site you pick and make sure that the person or company you're buying from is well-known for being ethical and reliable.

In regard to the internet, you might be able to grab a Wii on a department store or big name website. These are often your best bet if you plan on using the internet. Stick with the ones you trust, talk to people about their experiences on these sites, and do as much homework as possible before buying.

Your goal should not be when does the Nintendo Wii come out, as it has already been released. Instead, your goal should be where can I get my hands on one. Many big name stores such as Best Buy, Circuit City, and Wal-Mart get regular shipments. If you cannot find one at one of these stores, try your local game store they may be able to help you.

When you're ready to purchase a Wii, you will need to have patience. They're hard to find, even though they've been out for quite some time. The Wii is an extremely popular game system, and it's a lot of fun, so even though it may take some time and more than one attempt to find one, in the end you'll get a great deal of fun out of it.
