How many lost minutes, days, and opportunities have you had up till now? If you are like most, then it is a lot. We all have had it; however, procrastination doesn't have to be the way. There are better ways, and you can start seizing those opportunities in front of you. Join me in this article, as we take a look at how you can start to seize opportunities.

Imagine our world, and the progress we have made from cave man to today. If people were able to seize the opportunities, we would no doubt be living more in that sci-fi kind of world. We would have Star Trek and the Federation, and would travel the galaxy!

The point I am trying to make is that lost opportunities are not only costing humanity, but are also costing you a lot. Imagine if you seized those opportunities, and took action on them. Sometimes fear stops us, but procrastination has another cause.

Imagine washing the dishes manually. Now this would take a lot of time! Imagine leaving those dishes for a period of time. It piles up, and soon we wonder if we will ever get to complete the job, and keep up.

This is what procrastination is all about. Now, procrastination and what wealthy people utilize is not what we are talking about. Most people become lazy to action. And here is where the problems begin.

You had or have an idea. And you likely thought about it, and suddenly came up with a number of different reasons to leave it. It could have been television; it may have been meeting up with friends or going somewhere.

All these make opportunities to be left behind. So, what is the key to action? The key is in the sentence, and it is action. Remember the illustration of the dishes; remember how they can pile up. With dishwashers today we can often forget the horse sense of the matter, until the dishwasher brakes and soon we can come to realize the importance of taking action right now.

So, what is an opportunity you have, but are not taking action on? What are your goals? Now, at this point your mind can become cloudy, it seems like an enormous task.

What is the first thing you can do? Clear your mind. Take a piece of paper and brainstorm. Number these tasks, and get right to it. Take action on the first, and see it through.

At first this may seem hard, especially if you have put off opportunities in the past. Instead, now you can take action, and as you do, you will find life becomes easier.

It is called being a self starter, and being a self starter is the best way to be. When you see opportunity, you can seize it; you can take action, and start living the life of your dreams. What are you going to do now? Take action and succeed.
