3 Top Sins You Should Not Commit While Trying To Get Your Ex Back

Aug 18, 2008
Julie and Carl were a relatively happy couple for almost five years. Yes, they had their ups and downs, their days of silent treatment, but they always managed to patch things up. Until that dreaded day when Julie came home and found Carl packing his things. She could not believe what she was seeing, nor could she believe what came out of his mouth when he said; "I'm sorry, I had enough. I am leaving."

Julie thought she was going to faint. She had always dreaded this day and here it was. Her whole world crumbled. How would she survive without Carl; she loved him!

Carl had hardly left the apartment when Julie flung herself on the bed and started crying and howling like a wounded wolf. There was a hurt deep inside of her that she could not get out. She wanted to rip her heart out to get rid of the incessant and unbearable pain; she did not want to live any longer. Every breath without Carl was unbelievable painful. She did not want to cope with this any longer. She had to get him back! Right now! She had to get him to listen to her and to come back to her. He could not just stop loving her like that. She had to convince him to come back to her.

So, in her pain and devastation, Julie started making the fatal mistakes that one should never, ever do if you want to get back with an ex.

Mistake number one; Julie called Carl on his cell and started sobbing and begging him to come back to her. The more Carl told her that he did not want to talk about it right now, the more she sobbed and begged. Carl hung up on her and refused to answer her calls. This reaction infuriated Julie! She kept on phoning and phoning. In one message she would swear at Carl and call him names. The next minute she would leave a message begging him to come back to her.

Mistake number two; Julie ignored the fact that Carl did not want to talk to her. She would phone and leave messages every half hour thereby making happen exactly the thing she did not want to happen - driving Carl away even further.

Mistake number three; Julie could not get through to Carl. He blocked her messages, ignored her emails, and she could not speak to him, so she did the next best thing; stalking him! She would sit in front of the new apartment that he shared with friends and wait for him to come home. She would go to his office at work and confront him in front of his co-workers. She even interrupted his meal at a restaurant where he was having a business meal with clients.

End Result? Charl told Julie he never wanted to see her again. Ever.

So, what this all boils down to is this:

1. Don't beg! This is a sure sign of desperation and a definite turn-off.

2. Don't stalk them on the phone.

3. Absolutely do NOT stalk them physically!

Are you making these vital mistakes? That is a sure fire way of making sure that you will never get back with your ex!
