Even though email marketing is not a new concept many internet marketers still do not do it! I wonder why that is? Here are some facts about email marketing that you will want to know in order to make your business grow.

Very simply put the cons of not doing email marketing are a potential disaster for your business. If you have spent any time trying to get visitors to your website, you know how difficult it can be.

Once you get a visitor to your website they are going to leave in a matter of seconds or minutes. Your goal is to get a positive response from their visit.

In reality the best thing you can do is get them to fill out an opt-in form to your email marketing list. The pros of doing this is you will then have their name and email address to follow up with over and over in the future.

A subscriber to your mailing list can be worth several thousand dollars to you in future business revenue. You can probably quickly understand the cons of not doing this.

If you are sending visitors to a website and not capturing their contact information you are wasting literally a fortune in potential revenue. A person is not going to hear from you in the future unless they bookmark your site and they will never come back to it.

Therefore the time and money that you are spending to attract visitors to your site in reality is going to waste. Can you really afford to lose this kind of money?

Another benefit of email marketing is building your own list is very easy to do. All you do is add a sign up form to your website were people can find.

Then offer something of value that would make them want to give you their name and email address. What you're doing is trading their contact information for something that you have is worthwhile to them.

As you begin to build your list keeping in touch with it becomes extremely important. If you don't do that you're really building the list for no reason.

Today auto responders make email marketing very easy to do. You just type 1 message and click submit. It will then be sent to everyone on your list.

In summary, the pros and cons of email marketing are very simple to understand. Building a marketing list is an asset for your future. The downside to not having one is not worth risking.
