3 Steps To Creating A Successful Email Marketing Campaign

Setting up a successful email marketing campaign does not have to be hard to do. As a matter of fact, once you get the campaign up and running you will wonder why you didn't start it sooner. Here are three steps to take to create a successful email marketing campaign.

1. The heart of the campaign is going to be your auto responder. It's important that you program a series of follow up messages into your autoresponder before you start your campaign. You don't have to have a whole campaign written, but you should have a least a couple weeks worth of messages.

You can space these out every couple of days and then continue to add to them over a period of time. It's not unusual for successful Internet marketers to have over a year's worth of content set up in their autoresponder doing all of the hard follow up work for them.

If you are unsure about what to write in your messages subscribe to a couple of email campaigns from your competitors. You don't want to copy their messages, but you can certainly use this for ideas in creating your own. You can also hire a writer to write your messages for you and this will take all the guesswork out of it.

2. The next thing you need is create landing page with a sign up form. These are often referred to as splash pages that are nothing more than a single page of content designed to get your visitor excited enough to give you their name and email address.

A successful landing page gets across to your message in a very direct way. You need a heading that catches the reader's eye and draws them down into the page itself.

You need a sign-up form that is above the fold sold the person does not have to do any extra work such as scrolling down to find it. You also need a few benefits that are presented so the reader will want to learn more and give you their name and email address.

3. The final thing you need is a marketing campaign to promote your landing page. The fastest way to do this is through pay per click advertising.

Google Adwords is a good place to start because you can be on page 1 of the largest search engine in the world in a matter of minutes. You are going to want to mix in various long term strategies such as article marketing, and blogging as well.

These are three steps to creating a successful email marketing campaign. As you refine this process you will find yourself wanting to have email campaigns going in multiple niches and really explode your Internet marketing business.
