You May Be A Mold Victim If You Have Allergies

Aug 30, 2008
Mold can cause allergies that can be very serious, such as breathing problems due to swelling and swelling of the tongue and throat. Mold can also cause you to faint.

Mold can grow on leaves, grass, rotting wood, and in deep dark moist areas. People who have allergies should not mow the lawn or do any garden-related work. You should avoid hanging your wet clothes outside because of the allergens that can get in them, which can cause you to have a reaction. If you do this stuff, wear a mask over your mouth and nose. That's one way to do the things you love to do outside. Your other option is to take medicine for the problems that you have.

Mold can be inside in areas like your bathroom, walls, carpets, air conditioner, kitchen, sinks, etc. So clean these areas really well so you won't have these allergies. Having an air vent in your bathroom will prevent moisture from accumulating in these areas. Have a dehumidifier on in your home and vacuum everyday to control the mold coming into your home. Most molds come in the spring, last through the summer and stay until the fall, usually during the warmest times of the year.

In areas like Miami, Hawaii, Jamaica, and other areas with tropical climates, mold can last all year round. Mold can only be stopped if it is cold and where freezing occurs. Mold allergies affect the throat, nose, and cause ear infections. These allergies can make your ears ring, make your throat dry and itchy, cause you to have dry watery eyes, and have a runny nose. Strangely enough, some molds are encouraged to grow mold; some you can see and some you cannot see. These edible items can be cheese, sour milk, mushrooms, and buttermilk. If the wrong kind of mold is growing, however, don't breathe it in; inspect it and throw it away if it's not good anymore. There are some medicines you might not be able to take and you might have to take a generic brand to fight off infections.

Acupuncture is another option to fight allergies from mold. It can help you or anyone find the cause of the reason for it being in your body. This practice had started over two thousand years ago. It is an age-old remedy that the Chinese have had. Acupuncture involves the act of inserting thin, metallic solid needles into your skin. Actual results, however, depends on the person. Sometimes there is no pain, and sometimes there is a little.
