Working in office usually involves spending a large amount of time sitting on the chair, in a position, which adds pressure to the structures in backbone. Thereby, to avert compounding or developing problems related to back, it is very essential to select an office chair, which is ergonomic, supports the backbone, and promotes nice posture.

Which Type Of Ergonomic office chair Is Excellent?

Which Features Should A Nice Office Chair Has?

There are certain features that an ergonomic chair should has, they are:

* Seat height: Height of the office chair must be easily changeable and a pneumatic adjustment lever is one of the easiest methods to do so. Seat height, which ranges between 16 to 21 inches above the floor generally, works for majority of office people. This enables the person to keep her or his feet flat onto the floor, with arms even and thighs horizontal with height of the desk.

* Seat depth and width: The seat must have good depth and width in order to support any office user comfortably. Generally, 17-20 inches broad is standard width, while the depth must be enough from both front and back in order to enable the user to sit with her or his back against backrest of office chair leaving about two to four inches in between the seat of the chair and back of the knees. The backward or the forward tilt of the seat must be adjustable as well.

* Lumbar support: The lower back support in the office chair is very essential. The lumbar spine includes an internal curve and sitting for a long time without any support for the spine curve leads to slouching in addition to strains in the structure of the lower spine. They must have lumbar adjustment including both depth and height so that the user gets the proper fit further supporting the inner curve of the spine.

* Backrest: The ergonomic office chair's backrest must be 12-19 inches wide. Nevertheless, if the backrest of the chair is detached from the seat, then it must be adjustable in angle and height. In addition, it must support the natural inner curve of the backbone, with special consideration paid on proper support of lumbar region. In case, if the seat and backrest of the ergonomic office chair are connected in one piece, then the backrest must be modifiable in back and forward angles along with a locking mechanism in order to secure the chair from going far backward or forward.

* Seat material: The seat material must have adequate padding so that one can sit more comfortably on the seat for longer time. A cloth fabric that breathes is preferable for the harder surface.

* Armrests: The armrests must be adjustable as well. They must allow the arms of users to relax comfortably. The lower arms and the elbows must rest correctly and the forearm must not be on armrest at the time of typing.

* Swivel: Any usual style or the ergonomic office chair must rotate easily so that the user can reach various areas of her or his desk without straining.

The Ergonomic office chair having all the above-mentioned attributes will certainly allow you to work comfortably in your office and for longer hours further allowing you to earn huge profits.
