Is Hypnosis a Valid Way to Lose Weight?

Sep 9, 2008
Do you ever wonder if there is validity to the claim that hypnosis aids in weight loss? Luckily for you, there is. Weight is nothing more than mass, and as Einstein postulated, mass is related to energy. Energy is just waves of moving particles. Hypnosis alters those waves and changes their frequencies.

So what we are saying is, hypnosis and weight loss are clearly related and there is even scientific theory to support the fact. Not that science knows everything there is to know about either subject, but surely you see the connection made earlier.

Let's say you want to know more about how weight loss hypnosis is done. Is an overweight person put in a hypnotic trance and left that way for a week, or however long it takes until they lose weight? Not really. It doesn't quite work that way. An overweight person will attend several 30-minute or hour-long hypnotism sessions to successfully lose weight.

Hypnosis represents the mental condition of the body, and weight loss represents the physical condition of the body. Did you know that your mind completely controls your body? For instance, when you are preoccupied with something else you often will forget to eat at dinnertime. But when your mind preoccupied like when you are vegging out in front of the television, you can snack on loads of junk food and not even realize it.

Is it possible to use hypnosis so you just don't feel hungry? Yes! Lots of busy people retrain their brains to skip lunch every day because they don't have the time. Business executives do this all the time. Hypnosis works in much the same way, by retraining the brain and giving the subconscious mind the suggestion that you feel full. It's perfectly scientific and legitimate.

Under the careful supervision of a trained hypnotist who knows what he or she is doing, a person under hypnosis can explore childhood experiences. Metaphysics maintains that negative energy over past traumatic experience is sometimes bottled up in the body as fat. If you resolve leftover feelings from childhood, the fat will melt away. It requires the patient to be introspective and willing to talk about negative emotions, but in time it does work.

The signals that our mind sends to our body can be another reason why we are overweight. A friend of mine swore that skipping breakfast would help her lose weight, so that's what she did. Of course she was only making herself more overweight, because she was triggering her mind to tell the body, "We are in starvation mode because we haven't eaten for 16-hours." In response her body would store up fat to protect itself against ultimately starvation.

Hypnosis and weight loss are really just two sides of the same coin. There is no magic cure for being overweight, but letting hypnosis alter the energy of your body and suggest to your mind and send different signals to the body is a proven method to help shed those extra pounds. Try it out it might be your personal answer.
