About The Expenses Of Your Wedding

Sep 11, 2008
The cost of a wedding has become more expensive in this 20 years. In fact, a lot of couples will be prepared to pay a certain amount of money when they are planning for their big day. However, they may not really know how they can allocate the resources. To this end, this article attempts to discuss how a couple should allocate the resources when they are planning for the wedding.

First of all, you should try to understand how much you may probably need to spend. According to some researches, an average wedding will probably cost you something between $27,000 to $30,000. It is not a small amount of money. Yet the fact is that a lot of people are planning to get married even though it is something expensive. If you have decided to get married, be sure that you will be prepared to spend so much money. The first thing you need to consider when you are planning for a wedding is how you should finance it!

In the past, the parents of the bride would be taking care of the expenses of the wedding. However, this is not the case nowadays. Do you think you will really want to ask your parents to take care of all the expenses of your big day? No, in most cases you might not want to do so. Instead you and your fiance will try to take care of it.

As a result, you will need to learn how you should spend your money on your wedding so that you will not be spending more than you originally plan to. This is very important since you will still need some money for your new family after marriage and it may affect your new life if you spend more money than you originally plan to when you are planning for your big day.

Most of your expenses will go to the reception. In fact, the reception will be costing you something like 40% to 50% of your budget. As a result, you have to be very careful when you are planning for the reception. It is very important that what you plan for is matching the number of guests you are going to invite. You will certainly need to spend more money than you need to if you plan for a reception for 100 guests while you are only planning to invite 80.

You will also need to consider the cost of your other items such as the photography, gown, decoration, invitation, wedding favor and so on. Of course you will also need to consider your wedding bands as well as the engagement rings.

The wedding photography can cost your something like $3,000. If you are going for a pair of platinum wedding bands, they will cost you $2,500 to $3,000. As per your wedding invitation, it can vary from $1 per card to $10 per set.

One last thing is that, you will need to try your best to work within your budget so that you can make sure that you will have enough cash for your new life after marriage.
