Top 3 Affiliate Tactics to Increase Your Sales

The first step in earning more money from affiliate programs is to build your own website. By building your own affiliate website, you have so much more flexibility in how you can both promote products on your site, as well as market your site elsewhere.

There are plenty of things you can do to get more out of your website, but if you really want to increase your sales and website conversion, use these:

1. Use a unique page for each product you are marketing.

Although many internet marketers will tell you to build one page websites, and give your visitors only one thing to do, I believe most people are smarter than that. They don't need you to hold their hand when they visit your website.

What they do need for you to do is provide them with valuable information on whatever topic it is you are marketing. Don't let them leave your site empty handed.

By creating a unique page for each product you offer, you can give your visitors more information on the product. This includes product reviews, product testimonials, and articles about the particular topic. Don't forget to include some type of call to action in the page though. Once your visitors find what they're looking for, you do want them to take action.

2. Offer your readers a free report.

Free reports are a great way for you to provide additional information on a product, as well as a particular topic. A report you've written that is unique is especially valuable.

Since visitors can download your report and read it at their leisure, you are providing additional value. The reason is that most people are still on dial up. It can be a hassle to stay online and read online with a slow internet connection.

Free reports can sometimes go viral when visitors like your report and pass it along to friends. This means more targeted free traffic to your site.

3. Drive targeted traffic to your website.

Don't waste your time doing marketing techniques that don't work. It will only brand you as an amateur. Avoid using mailing lists you haven't built unless the source you are using is reputable.

Sites that promise you 100,000,000 email addresses from Yahoo or some other site are generally offering you emails they have picked up using robots. Your message probably won't target the type of visitors you are looking for.

Stick to promotional methods that work, like search engine optimization, article writing, free classifieds, and other techniques that allow you to select the correct market for your product.

Make yourself different and offer your visitors more value than other affiliates. You will make the sale.
