How To Win Your Lover Back

Sep 13, 2008
After breaking up, some individuals may stop doing things that remind them of the other person, such as listening to a particular type of music or a certain song because it reminds them of their former lover. Additionally, other things may trigger the memory of the argument that caused the break-up, leaving that individual to "stew in their own juices".

Most fights which lead to breakups are due to one party or the other feeling as if they are unappreciated or worse yet, neglected. These feelings of neglect can eat away at a person's ego, even leading to depression. This depression may build over a length of time and lead to an argument getting blown out of proportion, causing a breakup. These problems can often be resolved, so there's hope if you have been wondering how to get your lover back.

Both parties should be given ample opportunity to cool off. If your ex isn't taking your calls at the moment, that does not necessarily mean that there's no hope of reuniting. They might simply still be angry at you - or interested to see how badly you want to get back together.

You shouldn't make yourself appear desperate, however. Repeated calls are a bad idea here. You want them to know that you miss them; this is only natural when a couple has been together for a while. Keep the principles of reverse psychology in mind - people use it all the time to attract each other.

Before attempting to reunite, you need to decide if the relationship is worth saving - both parties have to make this decision for themselves. Be honest here, if you were always arguing with each other about the smallest things or the other partner has chronic jealously issues, you will likely be better off letting things go this time.

Do not even make the attempt to spy on your ex because this can trigger an event that you do not want to happen. Your ex may consider you a crazy stalker, and it may make matters even worse. Also, it shows signs that you do not trust them.

The ending of a relationship can be a very confusing and heartbreaking time. Try to remember to take a casual approach to the situation. Wait until the other person is ready to talk. And when the other person is ready to talk, don't talk about the break-up or what caused it. Especially don't make accusations as this will not benefit you, especially if you are attempting to make up. Try to come to a compromise if at all possible. If you are agreeable with your ex, you will certainly have an advantage.
