Top 5 Signs of Aging and How to Deal with Them

Sep 16, 2008
It is inevitable, no matter how hard we work, no matter how hard we pray we will always age. Our bodies will show the wear and tear of life and the signs of our years will eventually show through. Just because it is inevitable though doesn't mean we need to stop trying preserving our skin. There are things you can that will help you avoid the following top 5 signs of aging, making them less noticeable and visible.

Sign #1: Fine Lines and Wrinkles. This is the most common sign of aging. Everyone knows about it and even expects it. Gravity looks like it has taken a toll on your skin when really it's the elasticity that has loosened up.

Sign #2: Mottled Brown Discoloration. This is a less common sign but when It happens can be hard to accept. It is when your skin loses its even tone and you go from having freckles and blushed cheeks to blotches of brown on your skin and it is no longer one even color.

Sign #3: Broken blood vessels and Capillaries. These occur and often look spider veins, to get rid of them with a laser can cause anywhere from mild discomfort to downright pain depending on the person but there are ways to get rid of them.

Sign #4: Roughness. As we get older our skin naturally loses the oils that it once had to moisturize your skin. As those oils decrease your skin becomes dry and then wear and tear toughen up the dry skin making it very rough. Age can take away your once smooth skin.

Sign #5: Deep Wrinkling. This is more severe wrinkling then simple age wrinkles, they often occur because you have abused your skin for years on end, by exposing it to harsh weather conditions, failing to moisturize occasionally and serious stress and worry.

These are all signs of aging that can be prevented for years if the right prevention methods are used. Here is a regime that will help you in prevent the above signs. First practice aggressive sun protection, sun block regularly and get a lotion that has a small amount of sun block in it for daily use. Second. Use Retin-A for fine lines. Third, wash gently only once a day with a non-soap cleanser. And finally use make-up in moderation, caking it on only causes more problems in the future.
