Xbox 360 - The Magical Box

Officially launched on 22nd November 2005, the Xbox 360 can be described as a video game console with facilities of a hi-fi multimedia device. It was produced by Microsoft with certain technical aid and cooperation from IBM, Sis and ATI. Users can download game demos, games, movies, trailers and music on their Xbox 360. As a leading seventh generation video game console it faces competition from the Sony Play station 3 and Nintendo Wii. Initially unveiled in the United States of America, The Xbox 360 was later launched in 36 more countries within a year of its official launch.

Video game consoles are amongst the latest style statement of the youth. These are not only used for gaming and entertainment but are also helpful in accessing other information. The Xbox 360 demand is picking up day by day as it provides a complete gaming experience along with facilities to enjoy the top quality music and videos.

With its versatile features the Xbox 360 has become one of the most sought after deices of the recent times. It is the highest level of gaming entertainment provider and it has an integrated DVD system which can play images, movies, videos etc. With superb quality of digital technology it also features one of the most hi-tech music system features. With a size which is small enough to be carried along with you anywhere you go, the Xbox 360 serves the purpose of a portable device. It weighs about 7.7 lbs and the dimensions are about 3.x 12.2 x 10.2 inches.

These dimensions are more compact than the earlier Xbox systems from Microsoft. The Xbox 360 has a high resolution screen of 16.9 which helps in displaying sharp and clear images and movies. For smoother and crisp graphics the device is powered with an ATI graphics processor with embedded RAM. This graphics support allows the user to work with 2D and 3D graphics systems. The storage capacity of the device comes up to 20 GB with an option for further increase. For accessing the internet, there is a built in Ethernet port which allows the users to connect to high speed internet.

There are three versions of the Xbox 360 console known as the Arcade, Premium and Elite console. Each of these consoles comes with their own different accessories and features. The Xbox 360 was officially launched in the year 2007. It comes bundled with a composite AV cable, 256 MB memory unit, HDMI 1.2 output and a wireless controller. These are popularly identified by the name `Go Play` and are supported with several game demos and also a welcome video. It is most favorably priced at around US $ 280.

The Xbox 360 Premium is another console which was also introduced in the year 2007 and comes with a 20 GB storage media and an optional optical out feature. With its more advanced features, this box is priced at around US $350. The Elite variant of the Xbox is the most expensive one with price tag around $450. It comes with a 120 GB hard drive for storage and more advanced and sophisticated features.

With its elegant and hi-fi features the Xbox 360 is one gadget which has been able to remarkably build its reputation amongst the fast changing technological revolution. This system has become an all time favorite for users from all different age groups and it wi-fi enabled internet connectivity and the user friendliness has made it most popular amongst other devices.
