High or Low Carb, Which Is The Best Fat Loss Diet?

Many people begin a diet when they want to start loosing some weight. Majority of the people think that a diet itself means a restriction on eating and conveys the message of stop eating. That's wrong! One way of maintaining a healthy diet is eating foods that contain less calories from simple carbohydrates-like sugar and processed flour-and more from fresh fruits, whole grains, vegetables, and other sources of good protein. But, what is a Carbohydrate Anyway?

A key staple of any healthy diet are carbohydrates. Eaten regularly, carbs do notlead to weight gain, unless they are eaten to excess. Carbs provide energy to the body and mind. Eating too much and lack of exercise means gain weight.

Carbs are giving oxygen and energy to our cells and hence cutting them down too much is not a good idea. Some fad diets recommend this which may result in leaving one with bad side effects. Of course, as with everything there is always the good and bad, so cutting sugary carbs can have extremely healthy and fat burning effects. You should try to eat the following foods when trying to lose weight because they are all healthy carb based.

Wholegrain breads, pasta, rice and cereal. These foods are crucial as they are generally quite light when eaten in moderation, so always follow package recommendations for serving sizes. Not only are they wholesome, but they also are quite filling because they are high in fiber, which is also crucial for a normal working digestive system.

Fruits. Did you know that fruit are classified as sugar carbs because they are high in sugar? But, they are natural, and are much lower in calories than cakes, biscuits, lollies and the like. Fruit has a high water content, so eating a few pieces a day takes care of some of your daily water needs and provides plenty of vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables. The best food that you could eat in unlimited amounts without jeopardizing your health,would most likely be vegetables. Green leafy vegetables are the best, as they contain plenty of minerals and antioxidants. Want to feel energized? Eating a good mix of bright, colorful vegetables daily will help cleanse your body. Usually, within the range of not less than 5 serving of vegetables a day for low calory naintainance.

If we see the weight loss programs there is not much difference between a low carb diet and low fat diet in the long run. Making healthy choices about food (such as choosing whole grains, fruits, and vegetables) while avoiding high calorie food and watching your overall calorie intake is the best way to achieve a healthy weight.
