Herbal Treatment For Ovarian Cysts EXPOSED

Sep 17, 2008
Ovarian cysts - what are they?

Ovarian cysts are an accumulation of fluid that happen within the ovary and this is encircled by a thin wall. Any ovarian follicle that is larger than 2 cm's can be said to be a cyst in the ovary. They could be as small as a pea, or as big as a cantaloupe. In most of the cases, the ovarian cysts are functional and are basically harmless. In fact in the US, they are present in almost every female before her menopause and also in 14.8% of all females who have reached that stage in her life. Ovarian Carcinoma is a disease that is also seen in about 15 cases out of 100000 in a year. Currently, thousands of affected people are opting for herbal treatments across the world to cure their ovarian cysts.

The condition of ovarian cysts is common among women of every age. However, they are more common in women of the child bearing age. In certain case, the cysts might lead to various problems like bleeding and pain and surgery may be recommended in such cases.

Ovarian cyst options for treatments

The fact is, ovarian cysts today are a major cause of excessive bleeding, infertility and pain in women. You need to test to be sure because they are in most cases benign. Surgery remains the most popular treatment option. But in reality, in most cases, surgery is not desirable and is also not a feasible alternative. This is because surgery often leads to side effects such as the cysts coming back in the future. 'Synthetic Hormone Therapy' is another option. Hysterectomy is also one more options that are presented to women. In recent years however, 'Ovarian Cyst Herbal Treatments' have become available as a treatment option.

It takes about three to six months for 100% relief from cysts with the herbal treatment approach. Of course, this can vary depending on the size of the cyst and how many of them are there. The liver also needs to be supported and cleaned simultaneously, as it can regulate the hormone levels in the body, and can also clean the blood. The diet is also important here as there are a few food items that can make the situation worse - and there are some that can control the cyst and how frequently they appear.

Foods that are important to counter recurrence and lessen the discomfort are whole grains, garlic, fruits, legumes and plenty of green and raw vegetables. The items that need to be avoided are processed and refined foods, red meat, caffeine, eggs, alcohol, fat, white sugar and carbonated beverages. Do physical exercise and eat a balanced and natural diet to fight cysts.

Period between 2nd week and till the arrival of the menstruation period

Here is a herbal treatment that can be useful in this period. It has 3 capsules of vitex & black cohosh, 2 capsules of dandelion root & black haw, 1 capsule that has bee pollen, pau d'arco and chaparral. Take this 2 times in a day. Take this from the 2nd week after the cycle till the period begins again.

From the starting to the 2nd week

During this period the herbal treatment consists of taking 3 capsules of milk thistle and black and blue cohosh, 2 capsules of 'wild yam', and 1 capsule of chaparral, pau d' arco, yarrow and bee pollen. This combination too needs to be consumed twice a day.

Please remember to supplement these medicines with vitamins A, E and C.

These therapies need to be alternately used for a period of 3 months, and for up to a year. The severity of your problem and the length of time it has continued for will decide how long you have to keep taking these. Do remember that this is just for general suggestion.

Holistic approach

The best approach however are herbal remedies. Medicines that are based on herbs work even better if the holistic approach is followed with it. It can be safely stated that holistic approach is the most effective. Actually there cannot be any parallels to it. While in the conventional approach, diagnosis and treatment is carried out, in the holistic approach, importance is given to achieving a healthy body, mind and spirit, and when this is achieved, the cysts cannot get formed. The holistic approach also attempts to find out all the causes because of which the cysts are formed in the first place and then treats all of them. Not only is this approach more effective, is actually leads to quicker relief and that too with little medical intervention.

Education is the first and the most important step to achieving a cure for ovarian cysts. This is because only when the patient knows what the problems are she can take an active part in the healing process - researchers agree to this approach. She is reassured that ovarian cysts are nothing abnormal, particularly in the reproductive years. The fact that they are quite normal and does not cause too much harm is made very clear to her early on. The abnormalities are explained and the warnings are also discussed with the woman. The holistic approach together with herbal treatments does indeed provide the best results.
