Find Out How To Avoid Suit Wearing Sins

By Victor Santerino

Suit wearing sins are committed on a daily basis by many men that don't even know they are making them. Read through some of the more common mistakes, you might be surprised with what you learn.

Tailoring of the jacket on slim men is the first mistake that comes to mind. Many men like to buy off the rack suits, (which is fine with proper tailoring). However, a thin man will almost always have to get the waist taken in to make the suit sit appropriately on them.

Jacket buttons should not all be buttoned. The bottom button is never buttoned on a suit, this rule is inflexible. If you doubt this rule than feel free to button the bottom button and sit down for a long period of time.

The sleeves on a jacket should be short enough that a quarter of an inch of the dress shirt is showing but not more. Many people buy suit jackets that fit perfectly except for this area, don't be one of them.

Suit pants with pleats or double pleats need to have cuffs. Pants without pleats should never have cuffs.

Pants should come to an end with a slight break at the bottom. Many men buy pants that are too long for them. This can only lead to a pair of suit pants with a ragged looking bottom.

Belts and shoes should be the same color.

Use polish on your shoes whenever necessary. It is glaringly obvious when a person has scuffed up shoes.

Socks should match the color of the suit pants. This rule applies to all suit colors besides white. A man in a suit should never ever be wearing a pair of white socks.

Read and study this article the next time you decide to put on a suit. Take notice of your mistakes and correct them. The time it takes to look good is is a worth investment.
