Are You Better Off Than Your Neighbor? If So, Please Give a Hand Up.

Have you ever wondered at the general unfairness of the world? Why it is that some have so much while others have so little? Why it is that a large portion of the world's wealth is controlled by so small a percentage of the population, and those who are most in need are so rarely among those numbers?

There are lots of children all over the country who are effected by developmental disorders which has to great extend decreased their hope to live a normal life. The main reason is that they are not able to avail the opportunities as the families do not have enough funds which are needed for the care and support the children should get.

It is becoming more and more difficult for these children to become self reliant and independent with little or no opportunities. Things will not change even now if there aren't enough funds available. It is very difficult to understand the predicament of these people for many of us. Their families are having a difficult life with jobs which pay very low wages and shortage of health insurance benefits. They are struggling every day to meet their essential requirements and can't do much except to feel bad. They are too tired at the end of the day with the life they are facing.

Many professional organizations have begun to recognize the needs of these families and have given generously of their time and resources in order to aid organizations such as the March of Dimes and the Special Olympics in providing these children with the help they need. Many professional sporting organizations are included in these numbers, particularly professional football, basketball, baseball, and hockey players. They gladly donate their time to help inspire these children, as well as assorted memorabilia (game balls, jerseys, caps, etc.) for auction in an effort to raise much needed funds.

One does not have to be a professional player and donate in thousands for the benefit of these underprivileged children. We can do a great job just by continuing the excellent practice started by them. You can donate some of the surplus NFL memorabilia you have to organizations like Goodwill and also spend some of your time with these children. Goodwill will help you give families things which were beyond their reach; an occasion, a possibility and a choice to make a brilliant future.
