A psychic reader will usually cast the crystals and gemstones onto a flat surface to help with the readings, this is usually how casting crystals are used in a psychic reading, these stones can be found in stores that sell crystals, and come with a drawstring bag to store them. Casting of the crystal stones can be accomplished in a number of different ways. Some psychic readers choose to make a cloth to throw the stones on and many times a circle is drawn on the cloth which is divided into four equal parts.
With psychic readings, the four quadrants that make up a circle correspond with a compass direction:
Air - East.
Air has to do with the mind and the color yellow.
The South Represents Fire.
Fire is connected with energy and action and the color red.
The West Represents Water.
Water is linked with psychic abilities as well as emotion, along with blue and purple stones.
But there are a lot of divination methods which may be utilized in psychic readings, making the psychic's job that of finding the right ones that suit them.
