As parents, we would want the best for our children. Even in the choice of clothes, we will not go after clothes that could harm our kids, right? This is the reason why organic baby clothing is fast becoming the choice of many parents especially mothers.

Children clothes play a vital role in the lives of our children. Our children wear them everyday. It has a direct contact on their skin. We take extra care in handling our baby clothes. Even during washing, we make sure that we only use the mildest detergents there is on the market. This is how important parents view children clothing.

The Harm Of Conventional Cotton

When choosing children clothes, most parents would go for cotton fabric. Cotton is soft and delicate for your skins. This is the type of fabric that would best suit the delicate skin of kids. But do you know that conventional cotton can have some form of chemicals? Conventional cotton has been subjected to insecticides, pesticides, fertilisers and other sort of chemicals.

Research studies show that conventional cotton in fact can be considered as one of the most chemically dependent crops. It takes a lot of chemicals to produce enough cotton to make a single shirt. The use of these chemicals is potentially harmful to the environment and this harm can be passed on to your kids.

This is the reason why a lot of parents prefer organic cotton. It is far better than conventional cotton especially for children clothing. A lot of kids have some sort of skin allergy which can be triggered by chemicals that can be found on conventional cotton. So not only are you helping save the environment by buying children clothes made of organic cotton, you are actually saving your kids from skin allergy as well.

The Advantage Of Organic Cotton

Organic cotton is best for babies. We know how sensitive baby's skin is. It is so delicate that it only needs the most delicate type of fabric. If you don't know yet, baby's skin is more porous than adults. This means that baby's skin can absorb more of the harmful chemicals that may be on other fabrics like the conventional cotton.

Buying organic baby clothes is advisable especially if your kids are still very young. They may cost a bit higher than regular children clothes but who cares, it is your children's safety that should be prioritised, right? A little extra cost will be worth it if it means safety on your children's part.
