Will South Beach Diet Recipes Make You A Sex Goddess?

The South Beach diet developed by Dr. Arthur Agatson was designed to teach the body how to accept the correct kinds of carbohydrates and fats in order to lose weight. The doctor understood the body needs to purge itself of its love of bad carbohydrates and sugar.

The South Beach diet is divided into three stages. The first phase is the most strict part of the diet. We take the body back to Ground Zero. Processed sugars are completely eliminated from the daily that. That means no bread, fruits, rice, pasta, and sugary snacks. The theory at work in the first part of this diet is that it takes you two weeks to make or break a habit. The idea is that after two weeks time your body won't remember its sugar cravings.

A dieter that makes it through the first two weeks will find part two easier to live with. At this point the diet sugar is slowly reintroduced. That means that you will slowly be a will to consume bread, rice, pasta, and fruit in this phase. The reason for this is that it teaches your body how to manage sugar simultaneously you learn portion control. You will stay in this phase 2 of the South Beach diet until you reach your weight goal.

These third phase of the diet is referred to as the maintenance phase. You choose foods that keep your weight and stable level. But you make sure they don't feel deprived. The South Beach diet book that I've linked below contains many recipes for the phases of the diet plan. So each phase has its own recipes and foods. Dieters are encouraged to make low carb meals. The diet is also considered healthier because you provide fresh vegetables and prepare your own food. However some of the recipes call for expensive ingredients.

If you have children and you want to participate in the South Beach diet you can change the diet slightly to please your children. Just add a starch like pasta or a potato to their meal. That is of course assuming that your children are at their ideal weight if not South Beach diet is a great way for the whole family to lose weight.

Many stores carry brand-name products that have the South Beach logo. The South Beach diet plan also has its own line of frozen meals and snacks. If you happen to be a vegetarian, this diet may be especially difficult in the first two weeks. Because in the first two weeks you can eat mainly meat, vegetables, and nuts. If you don't like these foods first two weeks are going to be difficult.

Exercise is not a main component of the South Beach plan. The South Beach diet is about changing eating habits and eliminating cravings. To achieve total health, an exercise regimen is half of the equation.
