7 Little Known Things For Preventing Wedding Car Nightmares

By Jeremy Freshford

If you are getting married at any time in the near future you probably have a ton of things to do. One of those things is booking a wedding car. Here are 7 quick fire things to remember to stop these potential nightmares happenning.

1. Always select a reliable wedding car company. It is so critical that everything goes smoothly on your big day. Reliability is of paramount importance, you want whoever you hire to turn up on time, and get you there in one piece.

2. Dont be backwards about coming forwards when asking for references. If you run with a company who has been around for a while things are less likely to go wrong.

3. Read the contract. Planning a wedding is a big thing, and you are going to have a ton contracts that you sign. After signing a contract for the caterer, reception hall and so on, you're probably going to think that they are all pretty standard. You are going to want to make sure that you read the contract for your chauffeur and car. The contract shouldn't be anything out of the ordinary, but you want to know what you're paying for and what's included in the package price. A lot of times, you might get a certain number of miles for free, and after 25 miles, for example, you may be paying an additional surcharge.

4. Remember you will have to pay a deposit. Check with the company when it is due and whether you can pay online or by check. I recommend that you send in your deposit as soon as you can in case someone else snaps up the car from under your nose.

5. When you are getting married teh time of year is crucial. A convertible wedding car can be fantastic but the weather has a huge role to play. Look very carefully at the month you are getting married and see whether a convertible is the right choice.

6. Take an accurate headcount. There is nothing worse than booking a car that holds six people only to find out that your wedding party has eight people plus the bride and groom. If you are going to provide transportation for the entire wedding party, make sure that you count everybody and make sure that your car or cars are going to be able to hold that many people.

7. Let your wedding chauffeur know how long everything is going to take. He needs to know how long the church service is going to last so he is outside waiting for you. You don't want to be standing in the rain after you have just got married because the driver got the time wrong.

Finally, be sure that you are organised well before your big day. You will manage to get the wedding car of your dreams which is what you always wanted on the most special day of your life.
