Cyprus Apartment Investments - Will the Euro boost prices?

By Tim Martins
Oct 19, 2008
I was over the moon when the Cypriot government announced it's plans to introduce the Euro as it's currency as I knew it would really help on the Cyprus property market into a new dimension. There were those who doubted it's effectiveness in such an under developed nation but the current property market in Cyprus is just booming.

House prices have been rising steadily at about 9% a year since the currency change and land investments have quadrupled since the news of the Euro. The low interest rates too have given Cyprus a good start to attract property investors and although things have hit a low in the UK, Cyprus is still a growing market. International airport improvements and more low budget airlines have also made it easier to travel to Cyprus to conclude Cyprus property investments.

It also helps that many Brits have a soft spot for Cyprus. And that's hardly surprising considering that this Mediterranean isle has the complete summer holiday package. Friendly locals, sandy beaches, stunning scenery and over 300 sunny days per year all combine to make this something of a holiday gem. All of which explains why so many of us are looking to Cyprus for our place in the sun.

The British have been investing in Cyprus property for a number of years now leading to investors making huge gains due to a steady rise in property prices. We are now seeing other Northern European tourists looking towards Cyprus for excellent property investments and who can blame them. Looking further afield, even Middle Eastern Property investors are beginning to notice Cyprus and all this when Property Investments have taken a dive in the larger European nations.

The great thing about the development of Cyprus in these times is that the environment is always respected. There is also a very strict code of conduct within the Urbanization planning rules and green areas are on top of their list of priorities. I believe in Cyprus for this very reason as I now it will always be successful as you can see through further articles on the Cyprus Informer Blog.
