Its front interface is very similar to that of DIRECTV HR20-700. All types of essential buttons are found at the front pane, so it becomes a lot more convenient for you to operate the machine. There are also some hidden panels where you can easily access the USB port, card slot, and reset button. You can store plenty of shows in this device. You have a total of 200 hours of programming that is in SD and 50 hours in HD. The programming guide can display a list of shows for the next 14 days.
DIRECTV DVR TiVo. If you're talking about flexibility, then the TiVo is a good suggestion. You can not only record, but you can also pause and rewind everything that you have recorded. You can also schedule the device to record at a specific time, allowing you to not miss a single show or movie that's currently playing in your TV. What's more, you can watch and record shows simultaneously. You can also change the aspect ratios partially.
The problem with it is that it cannot completely receive regional HD channels, and the programming guide is not impressive compared to HR20 and HR21.
