Supplements - When NOT to Use

Supplements, vitamins and even prescription medication there is a time NOT to take them. I am as big an advocate for natural healing as anybody, but what I want to look at is waste. We all know even in the holistic realm there are good and bad supplements. We want to go one step further and explore digestion.

There was a time when I took some of the best supplements I could find and results were nill. It wasn't until I came across some information about digestion and colon absorption that I realized why this was. One comment stated that the U.S. has the most expensive urine in the world.

If you take time to think about it no matter what you eat or drink it has to be absorbed by your body to be useful. There are two things that have to happen for absorption to take place:

1. Digestion
2. Clean Colon

You need to break down the supplement properly first and then your colon has to absorb the nutrients. This stands true with food, vitamins and drugs. If these processes don't occur what is the results? Your hard earned money goes right down the toilet and you blame the company saying "This stuff doesn't work".

It is estimated upwards of 60% of our population has some form of digestive disorder which can be a cause of various diseases. Even if you eat healthy only a limited percentage of the nutrients are reaching your system. In general we are a nutritionally staved nation and it shows among our universal rankings compared to all industrialized countries.

If you take supplements sub lingual this does not apply, but the majority of supplements and drugs are ingested.

So if your results are sub-par consider what we have presented here.
