They Say Bad Dogs Have More Fun: What You Say?

It is an extremely annoying situation when a dog jumps at your clean clothes when you are taking a walk in your neighborhood. Or When your front yard is the chosen venue for the next door dog to leave his many calling cards, this is also frustrating. Are these bad dogs? No, they are not any worse than the neighbor's out of control kids. What is wrong with the kids or the pet when the concerned adults are not doing their duties?

The dog must be taught to behave within some set parameters when around people. Inexperienced owners would be smart to find a dog trainer who can teach them how to properly handle the animal without breaking its spirit. Either you contact your vet office or pet store to get to meet a trainer or seek online help and tackle your pet problem before it goes out of hand.

This training program includes lessons where owners are taught how to control their pets. Trainers often mention however, that owners are more difficult to teach when it comes to dog training. When you want to leash train your dog as he walks in public or park, it is best to get them used to this first in a place they know well. Owner and other residents get irritated when these animals bark even if it is a typical occurrence. When they bark, they are simply communicating with us; a reprimand him might give them the wrong signal and confuse them.

So why does a dog bark? Well, just like a young child or baby, it needs attention, food or something to drink. A barking dog can also be a strong deterrent to burglars, so completely suppressing its bark might not be in your best interest. Remember not to promote barking when he is a puppy and then get all worked up when he continues to bark even more as he gets bigger.

Trainers can help teach you how to reinforce behavior that you desire with both praise and treats. You could start rewarding and motivating your puppy so he will continue with the good behavior; most animals will normally stop doing things for which they get reprimanded. It is important to know that you cannot teach a dog to learn a behavior which goes against his nature. You should look into breeds that exhibit particular characteristics if you want them from your pet. When does a dog become good? Well, when you train them with patience, resolve and of course, a great deal of affection.
