Introducing The Simpsons Family
Homer Simpson: Homer is the father in the Simpsons family as well as the only person that regularly brings income into the house. He is an idiot, but he is also quite hilarious because of that simple fact. He is worked at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant ever since the start of the show and in the process he has probably single-handedly given the anti-nuclear movement more material than it ever really needed to have. The irony of his job at the Nuclear Plant is that it is one of the highest educational requirements of any job that a person can do and yet Mr. Simpson barely finished high school and is a complete moron at the job that he does. America does love him however, because despite his lack of intelligence he is a sincere human being.
Marge Simpson: Marge is the mother of the family as well as the one person that has the ability to maintain sanity amongst the entire population inside the household. She primarily functions as a housewife although every now and then she does go out and work to bring some money into the household. She is intelligent and very good at all of the housekeeping activities, although most of her attention rests in breaking up fights between other members of the family. Her voice is a sober and intelligent one throughout the series and for that reason she acts as a comic foil to her husband Homer. They have been married ever since the end of high school.
Bart Simpson: Bart is the firstborn in the Simpson household and ever since birth has lived to make his fathers life miserable. Bart is a troublemaker in school, a poor student and the type of person that can aggravate anyone. In spite of that however, he is a video games nerd and still a person subject to bullying on a number of occasions by a number of different people. While he does annoy both his father and his sister Lisa, Bart has been known to display a deep affection for both of them on assorted occasions when he has done something nice for them.
Lisa Simpson: Lisa is the future of the Simpson family. Unlike her brother Bart, she excels in school and always brings home straight As almost no matter what the subject happens to be. She is consistently expanding her knowledge and while she does get picked on every now and then, somehow she is able to avoid it more so than her brother. Despite getting annoyed at him frequently, Lisa does care for her brother a lot and helps him whenever she can.
Maggie Simpson: Maggie is the baby of the family and still has the pacifier to prove it. Not much is known about her except for the fact that she is always in the right place and the right time to create comedic gold.
