Tips For Weight Loss After Baby

By Chris Jensen
Dec 2, 2008
Why focusing on nutrition is the best way to lose weight quickly, and how eating more everyday will help you lose weight and feel better. I'll also share an idea that I think provides the best plan available when someone is looking for help with weight loss after having baby.

WHY THE "USUAL SUSPECTS" AREN'T RIGHT FOR YOU!
Traditional so-called "solutions" like low carbohydrate, low fat and low calorie diets do not provide a good plan for healthy weight loss and long-term maintenance.

* Low carbohydrate diets may see a small measure of success at first but they are an unrealistic expectation to have for more than a few months. No one can expect to maintain that kind of lifestyle for very long and even if you can manage not to get sick of eating hamburgers with no buns, eggs every day and sugar free soft drinks-just try think about what that is doing to your body on the inside!

* Low fat diets are worse. Not only are they almost impossible to follow because of the highly limited and unpalatable selection of food that remains available for you to eat. They are only effective if you drastically cut all fat intakes including the good fats like Omega 3 fatty acids that are found naturally in foods that your body needs for proper cell reproduction and repair.

* Low calorie diets are probably the worst of all. I say they are the worst because they make you work the hardest for what are at best mediocre results. If low fat diets are difficult, low calorie diets are nearly impossible. Who has the time to plan their diet that extensively? And one small mistake could put you behind for days! Not to mention the amount of exercise that is required to make them effective.

These plans are unrealistic and ineffective. You can't exercise with a low carb diet because you feel like you're going to pass out all the time. You can't eat anything good with low fat diets and you never have enough time or energy with low calorie diets.

The bottom line is you need a plan that will provide you with the nutrition you need after having a baby. Your energy and nutritional reserves are exhausted and nutrient restrictive diets like the ones mentioned above are not going to help you.

NO MORE SKIMPING!

There are some serious health risks to consider when dieting after childbirth. You must take into account that you are depleted in more ways than one. The amount of energy and nutrients that you provided for your baby while he or she was growing inside you can take months to recover in your body.

At this point in your life you can't afford to take risks with diet pills, liquid diets or nutrient restrictive diets whether or not you are breastfeeding. The negative effects of diets like these can have long term and sometimes-irreversible results.

It's important to focus on a nutritionally rich diet plan that allows you to eat foods that not only are good for you but that you like to eat. This provides a weight loss solution that will work quickly and one that you can happily employ for the rest of your life.
