How to Have a Successful Business and a High Quality of Life
Conventional wisdom tells you that "you can't have your cake and eat it too." That may have been true in the past, but not anymore. What good is that if you do not enjoy life outside your business? One of the many "secrets" of successful entrepreneurs is; pay yourself first. They pay themselves first for several reasons. The primary reason is because they understand they must enjoy life to continue to enjoy entrepreneurship.
Many "gurus" will tell you that there is a price for becoming successful. While that is true, you shouldn't have to compromise your quality of life and certainly not your happiness. In order for you to be successful, you must first enjoy what you do. That is the bottom line and is common sense to many entrepreneurs. You are an entrepreneur for a reason; you don't want to follow conventional standards or practices. Entrepreneurship gives you that freedom. You must exercise it and enjoy your business.
When you look at some business owners, it's clear that they have in fact paid a very high price for success. The majority work around the clock and have little time to actually enjoy the life they have. Do you think they're really enjoying their life?
To truly feel the benefits of success, your business should support your lifestyle, not replace it. Chances are it's not the business that is the real goal. It's what the business will do for your life that's important. You could very likely go back to college and get a better job to afford some of the luxuries you'd like. You would also still be stuck in the rat race.
The fact is you can have the successful business and the life you've always dreamed of. It just takes focused attention, planning and one-on-one support to help you create the map that you will follow on your journey. Finding a business building system that includes a blueprint for success isn't always easy. Many systems are misleading and it's not always easy to tell which one is worth the investment of your money and time. Having a plan is simply the first step. You must also know how to follow it through to the end.
One primary key to success is hands-on, one-on-one support that some systems provide. It is very common to invest money with so many programs you lose track of where you're going with which company. Many of their ideas seem good but they may not fit your lifestyle, priorities or business.
With many business-building systems, it becomes necessary to hire a separate coach to help you become successful and help you manage your personal life. It is possible however to find a business system that provides coaching and allows you the time to manage your own life. There are also several good online training workshops available to assist with your learning needs.
Before you invest in another business building system that promises you a dream, make sure it's a system that will allow you to create balance in your business and your life. It is absolutely possible to have both. After all, what is the point of having cake if you can't eat it?
