Tips for Finding NJ Real Estate
New Jersey is a beautifully diverse state with something for everyone who decides to call this place home. The suburbs feature tree-lined streets, large lots and a mix of old and new homes. The coastline is dotted with waterfront communities and the cities in New Jersey provide plenty of culture, entertainment and dining for every taste and budget.
And if the amenities of this great state are not enough, New York is just a hop, skip and jump away. The public transportation system makes it easy to commute into the city, and the upscale neighborhoods filled with eastern charm that compose much of the state's real estate market make this an enticing prospect indeed.
Finding land or homes won't be the hard part, but narrowing your choice to a single lovely residence might be close to impossible.
New Jersey real estate is attractive to prospective home buyers for other reasons as well. Because income levels have risen faster than housing prices recently, more and more residents are able to afford their own piece of the land pie.
The state also has one of the highest median household incomes in the entire country, and the schools and recreation opportunities are some of the finest around. Families purchasing some New Jersey land will find that they have a plethora of educational choices for their children, with the introduction of many charter schools in the midst of excellent public and private opportunities.
Although many think of the Garden State as an offshoot of New York City with an urbanized feel, there are many rural areas of this state that offer even more options in NJ real estate. Farmland is abundant in New Jersey with more than 9,800 farms taking up 790,000 acres of space.
Some of the more common crops include blueberries, cranberries and peaches. The abundance of fresh produce makes NJ attractive to those who love to spend Saturday mornings at farmer's markets or stopping by roadside stands.
Another attractive aspect to the state is the variety of homes that are available. In addition to the diversity in locations, the homes themselves run the gamut from compact condos and townhomes to rambling mansions on multi-acre estates.
Depending on the size home you are looking for and the location you are hunting in, you can find NJ real estate for just about any budget. There are many reasons that folks are hunting for homes and land in the Garden State so they can call this beautiful place home.
