Cheap Fashion Tips for Winter 2008
Every teenager has to be it. Most people want to be it. It is of course fashionable and in today's ever growing recession economy it is becoming harder and harder to achieve. For the average person, mother, or anyone else it can be troublesome to keep up and purchase anything stylish, so for this article I plan on giving out a few tips that anyone can follow to upgrade there wardrobe and appearance. Some of these suggestions will come free of charge, others might cost you a small bit, but ultimately it is up to you to take these suggestions and make them your own runway like fashion.
1) Are your shoes looking a little spotty? Perhaps they are suffering from a few smudges or markups. Vaseline is a cheap way of shining those bad boys up. It acts just as any other buffing material for a nice shine.
2) Vaseline is also very useful for moisturizing cuticles aka your nails.
3) Don't over pay on specialty items that can be replaced with everyday or cheaper products. A good example of this would be make up remover. Simply using damp toilets or generic baby wipes will do the same job for a much cheaper price.
4) Have a strapless garment, nice jacket, or vest. These items can be layered and thus can be warn on top of a nice shirt or other upper ware. This way you can get multiple outfits out of fewer pieces.
5) Second hand items aren't necessarily a bad thing when it comes to fashion, especially when it comes to accessories. There is plenty of fun and style can be had at a thrift store that features necklaces, belts, sunglasses, and other helpful wardrobe additions. They won't be new, and probably not name brand, but this is wear the creative side of fashion comes in. Take these sorts of items and make them your own.
6) Make a list! You don't need everything in the store. Have a list of a few looks you would like to have and buy enough to buy to build those wardrobes.
7) Get rid of what you don't wear. Often folks will go shopping buy a ton of new clothes while there are new, or old, clothing that isn't being worn already in the closet. Get rid of this clothing you don't or will never wear by selling them to stores or yard sells or simply giving them away to someone less fortunate.
These are just a few tips for those looking fashionable on a budget. Hopefully, despite this weakening economy, everyone can look there best.
