This would simply take too long; an Internet business person could type emails around the clock and still never be able to stay on top of his or her campaign. On the other hand, it is not very helpful to have an email campaign consisting entirely of emails which are so impersonal that the reader feels like he or she is reading a form letter. This is precisely where the principle of balance comes in; just like with most things in life, an email campaign must strike a good balance between efficiency and effectiveness.
A major part of finding this balance lies in a process which is known to the Internet business world as list building. A list is comprised of the contact information of all potential consumers. Whenever an Internet business person wishes to send out an email to his or her market, everybody on the list will be contacted. A list not only allows efficiency, but it increases the likelihood of sales because the list members will receive information frequently.
