When you're concerned, you can feel certain changes in your body and the symptoms appear to be never-ending and influencing your daily existance when you've got an anxiety disorder. Among these symptoms are abdominal discomforts, diarrhea, dry mouth, quick heartbeat (or what could be called palpitations), tightness of the chest, shortness of breath, shaking, trouble in swallowing, frequent urination, and dizziness. Other symptoms of an anxiety disorder may include mental symptoms like sleeplessness, feeling worried, feeling twitchy all the time, lassitude, irritable or quick to hate, incapacity to focus, or a sense of being in an imaginary situation and not in control of your actions. Also, other mental symptoms of anxiety disorder may include the sense of going nutty or going out of your mind.

It's also known that an anxiety disorder could be a symptom of other psychological health issues, for example depression or alcohol reliance. It may also be due to substances like ecstasy, marijuana, LSD, or caffeine ( coffee, tea, soda ) or by withdrawal from long term drugs like tranquilizers. Stress is also a typical side effect of many prescriptions and over the counter medicines. So be certain to inform your doctor about all medicines you are ingesting. This information can be vital to a correct diagnosis.

If you can't handle the symptoms, and you feel like you are already breaking down, what you can do is contact your doctor right away for a correct diagnosis, because some anxiety disorders could also be related to other physical illnesses that are influencing your body. These illnesses may include thyroid disorder and others, so it is always best to contact your doctor. Don't forget, this disorder and the symptoms that go with it should be regarded seriously.
