You have been invited to a wedding and you just cannot get any bright ideas for a good wedding gift that would not only be unique but also avoid duplication. The couples have had their fills of toasters and mixers and coffee makers. So what do you give to a couple who seem to be either furnished or would be with the gifts they get on their wedding? Well here are some wedding gift suggestions that would bring a sparkle to the eyes of the bridal couple.
Money
I know what you are thinking. This is the least of all the gifts that you had in mind. But think how useful this money could be for the newly weds to either buy a car or a piece of furniture or for repaying their loans or even investing in some plan. You could also give a small personal gift along with it like a picture frame or any other item.
Expensive items
It is taken for granted that the expensive gifts are the ones that the couple are longing for but know they are not going to get it. So why don't you make a group with the other invitees and gift them their precious prize. This will make the couple leap with joy and surprise.
Sponsor their first night
You can check with the couple's parents whether they have already decided to gift the couple with any hotel room reservations. If they haven't then you can do so. Also you could either sponsor their air tickets to their honeymoon destination or pay for their stay during their honeymoon period.
Gifts that can be revered for a long time
Gift them a bottle of wine or champagne asking them to open the bottle on their 10th anniversary and when they do follow your instructions the uniqueness of your gift will be mentioned in front of the guests. You can also gift them a handmade quilt, antique furniture or even their wedding invitation in a lovely frame.
Painting
Usually a painting is a very good wedding gift suggestion. Purchase one which has a romantic undertone or you could even try personalizing it by having a local artist paint a photo of the newly weds. You could even have a painting depicting their first meeting which will always be special to the couple and be one of the prized possessions.
Buying a tree
You can gift a small tree which they can plant and nurture it. As the tree grows it will remind them of the years of togetherness they have spent in each other's company
