*Make yourself notes why you want to quit. List all the benefits such as living longer or saving money. Post the notes in several places such as the bathroom mirror, in the car or at your desk to remind yourself daily why you want to quit.
*Practice deep breathing every day for three to five minutes. Breathe in through your nose, hold your breath for a few seconds and exhale slowly through your mouth. By concentrating on breathing you are not thinking about smoking.
