Funny Ecards Split Seams

Ecards are electronic greeting cards. Ecards are typically pictures or images accompanied by personalized messages and they are sent via emails. Ecards are more versatile compared to traditional paper cards, since they are digital contents and can be sent to many recipients at the same time. They can be personalized in various ways and can be saved in the computer or other media storage devices such as compact discs or flash drives. Ecards are more environmental friendly compared to traditional cards, since paper is not used when creating or sending ecards.

The e-cards had their beginning at the same time the Internet started. One e-card site called E-Cards.com started the e-cards which featured wildlife and nature photos in the year 1995. Then the following year in February, the e-cards were popular especially for Valentine's Day and these were offered by Sony Entertainment and Infobahn.com. E-cards kept growing in popularity through the late 1990s and into the new millennium, and was found to be a very lucrative Internet business. BlueMountain.com is still known to be one of the most successful and largest of the websites that offer free e-cards. Most of the time e-cards are available for free and are hugely popular to this day. Also many of the e-cards sites also offer paid memberships that offer customers premium e-cards, also some sites charge a monthly or yearly fee for sending e-cards.

Ecards started as postcards, using non-moving or static images. These images are accompanied with personalized greeting messages. Then, ecards evolved into flash animation. Flash animation is based on 2-dimensional vector animation, which used scripting language. The flash animation is more cartoon-style, but can be realistic and advanced. Ecards with flash animation usually contain soundtrack, with speech and music or audio sounds. One example is a wedding ecard with the sound of church bells. Flash animation can include interactivity, for example, recipient can click on an image of a wrapped present to reveal a greeting message. Nowadays, flash animated ecards are still one of the most commonly used formats.

Another choice of e-cards is the video style e-cards. This style of e-card puts video and text together to show the greeting messages to the one receiving the e-card. These e-cards take more production time, real actors, and a budget. A simpler and inexpensive alternative to the sending of e-cards is using one's cell phone to send a mobile version of e-cards. Users of mobile phones will be required to download their e-cards onto their phones from a cell phone network using WAP. After downloading, the e-cards can then be sent to other cell phone owners using MMS. The mobile version of e-cards came out in 2003 and was created by Mgreetings (a Dutch company). The cell phone users may have a charge for downloading and or sending these mobile e-cards, as per their cell phone provider.

People love to send e-cards for many types of celebrations or occasions. Some of the many occasions are weddings, birthdays, Valentine's Day, Christmas, friendship, Mother's Day, and more. E-cards can also be full of humor and are available on many websites. These humorous e-cards usually have animated figures with sounds that are funny and messages that have been personalized. For everyone and every occasion, funny e-cards are available such as office jokes, funny political, and humorous holiday greetings. Since these e-cards are designed environmentally safe, they are perfect not only for everyone, but also anytime and for any reason.
