There are new affiliate marketers who try to join hundreds of programs at a time. They think that they can make more money in this way. Yet this is totally wrong. You are making money by promoting the affiliate products. You are not making money by joining the programs.
One thing you need to keep in mind is that you need to focus. It is better for you to work in two to three niches only. The fact here is that you will not have the time to work in 20 niches. You should try to make some money first and outsource your work later on. It is possible for you to make money in a lot of different niches when you can outsource your work.
Besides, a lot of new marketers will promote the products without any knowledge about it. In fact, you will need to learn about the products before you can successfully promote them. If it is possible, you should purchase and try to use the products yourself.
You will know more about the products if you can try them before you promote. If it is totally not possible for you to try it, you will at least need to read reviews and articles on the products. It is very important for you to have some basic understanding of the products.
A lot of new marketers will just try to promote the affiliate links in forums or blog comments. However, they will never try to create their own affiliate site. In fact, you should try to promote your affiliate sites instead. You will be able to promote different products in the same niche with your niche site.
In most cases you will need to prepare quite a number of articles on your affiliate sites. You will at least need to put forty to fifty articles on the site. You should make sure that the articles will be of high quality and at the same time relevant to your niche.
Patience will be very important when you are working as an affiliate marketer. Some newbies will give up after working for two weeks. However, the truth is that not many people can start making money in such as short period of time! You will need to work for some time and eventually you will make money.
