The possibilities within social networks opens the doors even further, but I think the above mentioned are the most popular. How to turn this shift from paper to electronic media into money. Really not to much different from what has been going on except for a new audience.

If the new audience has been use to the touch and look of a traditional newspaper you will have to make their transition from paper to paperless as comfortable as possible. This will determine who will be attracted to stay with your business.

Traditional white background with black print is still in style. As tempting as it might be to use all the available colors and fonts to jazz up your site in this case traditional layouts seem best. The beauty of undertaking a project like this is if you are adventurous and want to be creative with your site the costs are minimal. to change fonts, colors, graphics are next to none compared to traditional newspapers. Adding advertisements to your site is so easy with google, yahoo or msn.

There are any number of combinations you can use, but don't forget it's not about you it's about them. Your future customer, the one you want to come and spend time and money on your site.

We see this trend of newspapers shrinking and new subscribers to the on-line media just in the early innings which opens opportunities for on-line businesses.
