Vermont offers many resources when it comes to tourism and agriculture. Vermont is not only known for its dairy products and maple syrup but also as a prime skiing destination. 1. Always stay in control so that you will be able to stop or avoid colliding with people and other objects.
2. People in front of you have the right of way and it is your responsibility to avoid them.
3. Do not stop where you are not visible from above or where you obstruct a trail which other people may be following.
4. Whenever you start downhill or merge into a trail, always look up and yield to others.
5. Do not forget to use devices to prevent runaway equipment.
6. Take heed of all posted signs and warnings; do not go into off closed trails.
7. Before using any lift, make sure that you have the basic knowledge on riding, loading, and unloading from one.
It is every skier's responsibility to know the basic rules of the sport and to respect fellow skiers' space. Since Vermont is a popular destination for this, they have provided various resources as well in addition to the safety precautions.
