4 Ways to Prevent a Recession From Becoming a Depression
These days it always seems to be something and to add more stress now we have a economic recession. This is causing a Depressive state of mind for many people and the effects carry over into their physical Health.
Let me start you with one tip: The body follows the mind. So what we are saying is generally in these situations the trouble starts as a thought provoked by circumstances. So as the old saying goes "you have to get to the root of the problem". Easier said than done, Right? Well, if you understand what you can control and what you cannot this will take a lot of pressure off your shoulders and reduce the stress which leads to Depression.
Consider these 4 ways you can prevent Depression...
1. Write it Down - put on paper what you can solve and what you can't. Use the precious time and energy you have to solve the problems you can control. The others will either fix themselves or they will turn into problems that you can one day fix. 2. Reactions - with the media bombarding the airwaves with doom and gloom you are depressed before you set foot out the door. Don't watch the news. If this is causing you to react negatively shut it down. Consumed with the present doesn't leave room to prepare for the future. 3. Nutrition - you can't believe how much influence Nutrition has on your attitude. A bad situation can be just a challenge if you have good health. If you have to battle circumstance and health you may need help and of course depression will enter. What you put in your mouth is controllable, consider all the benefits if this is a change you can make. 4. Acceptance - you know the world changes, make the adjustments. If you have to give up "Things" to reduce stress do it. Don't be afraid to change as needed remember "You have to give to get". This sounds vague and it is because everyone has something different that will depress them if they have to give it up due to economic times.
Folks, life is just to short for the albatross of "Things" to be hanging around your neck and causing you depression. Depression is not your friend and it comes knocking fast and furious during these times. So remember you mind is the entrance to your emotions and body. You have the ability to open or shut the door.
