The Astrological Strengths and Weaknesses of Bernie Madoff
The horoscope of Bernie Madoff shows an amazing ability to mix, relate and project success in high society. Also it reveals a great level of self-confidence and the ability to form relationships among the successful in society. These abilities are stamped with force on his horoscope by a remarkably powerful combination of Jupiter, Mercury and Chiron (success, communication, relationships).
The presence of Jupiter in Aquarius also imbued him with an ability to present himself as a success in every measure used by the successful people in society. Even so his horoscope still indicated a potential for lack and loss as Venus (money) and Jupiter were locked in a very negative relationship.
Bernie Madoff could have been very successful if his focus had been on advising people what not to invest in, where not to put money, what not to do to secure their future. Beside the planet representing money, Venus, we find a point in his horoscope called the South Node.
We also find Jupiter, the planet of success, in Aquarius - the sign of the intelligensia and social status. Yet, in addition to these glowing astrological markers of social success, we find a strong and positive link between Jupiter and Mercury as well as Jupiter and Chiron giving an almost unparalelled capacity for success in the best social context.
For success and large scale investment we look at Jupiter. Unfortunately, Venus has a strong but negative connection with Jupiter - which implies a strong, negative relationship between money and expansion. Yet at the heart of his horoscope we find a core that could either be rotten or through which Bernie Madoff could have shed real and lasting light.
A feature of any horoscope is a point known as the South Node. This point is basically a point of negation and stripping away and in Bernie Madoff's horoscope we find it making a strong but negative connection with Jupiter whilst sitting right beside Venus. Translation: big (Jupiter), financial (Venus), Loss (South Node). It could have been about how to avoid great financial loss.
