Climate Change And Humanity's Role

By Julie Landry
Jan 8, 2009
There are a number of ways in which global warming occurs. In some forms global warming is completely natural and out of our hands to control. In other forms humans can control and even stop global warming to some degree.

It should not be of much surprise to learn that CO2 is a major cause of global warming. It has long been known that CO2 pollution enters into our planet's atmosphere and causes damage to occur. The result is that our planet increases in temperature through a process known as global warming. CO2 is not the only gas that wrecks havoc on the planet though. Other gases like nitrous oxide and methane all play a role too. For the most part CO2 is a main cause of global warming.

Global warming is a serious condition that affects our planet. It is important to be aware of the human causes of global warming in order to prevent additional global warming from occurring. While humans contribute a lot to global warming there are also natural ways in which global warming occurs. For these types of situations there is little that can be done to stop the global warming which may occur.

Humans on the other hand have the opportunity to curb a number of the activities which can contribute to an increase in global warming. By simply limiting these activities, or reinventing how they are done, the planet can remain a healthier place for everyone to live.

Many people believe that global warming is caused solely by the human beings that are on the planet. It may be surprising to know that global warming is also a naturally occurring event. It can easily be argued that whatever global warming occurs naturally on the planet is a fraction of what humans are capable of contributing.

When it comes to protecting the Earth, there is no topic that has more importance than the true causes of climate change and global warming. Even though there is still a lot of work and research to be do in the scientific establishment, it is important to know that a lot of people feel that the main cause of global warming is people. What we, the human race that depends on the planet, are doing to the planet is truly upsetting. Our behaviors and the pollution and carbon (which is actually not pollution) that we emit on a daily basis is said to be a large factor in everything heating up.
